Police are calling for witnesses to a crash in City Beach last night which left a 26-year-old man with serious injuries.

About 10.30pm, the man was riding his Harley Davidson south along West Coast Highway when he failed to negotiate a left-hand bend.

He clipped the median strip and was thrown from his motorcycle.

St John Ambulance paramedics took the young man to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with serious head injuries.

Anyone who saw the incident or saw the motorcycle before the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
