Stormtrooper Scott Loxley will return to Geraldton this week to continue his walk around Australia to raise money for the new Monash Children's Hospital.

Mr Loxley had to postpone his trip in April after walking 3800 kilometres from Melbourne to Geraldton, when his wife fell ill.

The 45-year-old father of three is now ready to finish his mission.

"Starting to pack my gear away for my return to Geraldton this Thursday," he posted on the Facebook page "Storming Australia for Monash Children's Hospital".

"Hopefully do some fundraising over the weekend then hit the road for the next year.

"Looking to finish back in Melbourne around July but hopefully sooner.

"Heading north through the wet season will slow me down due to the heat and humidity but it won't stop me.

"All the way to the finish now."

* Mr Loxley and Geraldton members of the 501st legion, an international Star Wars charity fundraising organisation, will be available for photo opportunities by gold coin donation at the Centro Northgate Shopping Centre food court on Saturday, from 11am to 2pm.
