Teenager attacked with hammer during ambush on school students at train station
A teenager has been attacked with a hammer during an ambush on a group of school students by four men in Sydney’s west.
The teens were walking towards Doonside train station about 3.30pm on Tuesday when the men got out of a car and headed towards them.
The men, armed with a baseball bat and a hammer, allegedly assaulted an 18-year-old before striking a 16-year-old in the head.
Some of the students managed to flee, including the older teen who was attacked again by three men before jumping on a train and leaving.
The armed men returned to their car and fled, NSW Police said in a statement.
The 16-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment but has since been released.
