Girl, 15, killed after Lamborghini mounts footpath outside Adelaide restaurant

A teenage girl has died and a man driving a Lamborghini has been arrested following a fatal crash in Adelaide’s southwest.

It’s alleged the man, 37, was behind the wheel of a white Lamborghini travelling north on Morphett Road, Glengowrie, on Saturday about 10pm when he lost control, mounted the kerb and hit two teens on the footpath.

The car then crashed into a Chinese restaurant.

Both teens were treated at the scene but one of them, a 15-year-old girl, died.

The second pedestrian, also a 15-year-old girl, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but her condition is not considered life threatening.

Members of SAPOL's Major Crash Investigation Section attended the scene and arrested the driver and charged him with cause death by dangerous driving and cause injury by dangerous driving.

He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on July 31.

The car, a 2017 Lamborghini Huracán, is listed for sale online with a price tag of more than $320,000.
