Boy, 16, charged over alleged sexual assault of 53-year-old man
A teenage boy has been accused of sexually assaulting a 53-year-old man at knifepoint at a shopping centre carpark in Sydney’s west.
The 16-year-old approached the man in the carpark of a shopping centre on Carlisle Avenue at Mt Druitt on Sunday about 1am. The pair were not known to each other.
It is alleged the boy pulled out a knife and threatened the man who tried to flee.
But the teenager caught up to him and it is then further alleged the boy sexually assaulted the man.
The 53-year-old contacted police soon afterwards and the boy was arrested.
The teenager was found with a large knife on his person, police said.
He was taken to Riverstone Police Station and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault – threaten actual bodily harm on victim with weapon.
The man was hospitalised but suffered no physical injuries.
The 16-year-old was refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Monday.
