Man suing Apple over porn addiction
Don't blame the man, blame the technology it seems!
A 36-year-old man in the US is suing tech giant Apple for his porn addiction that ruined his marriage.
In a 50-page complaint, Nashville lawyer Chris Sevier says his addiction began after accidentally typing F**kbook instead of Facebook into Apple's Safari web browser.
His main complaint is that Apple should sell all products with a built-in filter to block all Internet porn. If the buyer is over the age of 18, he or she is free to contact Apple, sign a form acknowledging the ills of pornography, and receive a code to remove the filter.
Sevier blames the porn sites for the downfall of his marriage after he began "desiring, younger more beautiful girls featured in porn videos than his wife, who was no longer 21.
"His failed marriage caused the Plaintiff to experience emotional distress to the point of hospitalization."
Sevier also claims that filters would not only help people with addictions, but would also help curtail unregulated online porn which is "hurting bricks and mortar or 'mom and pop' porn shops".
Apple has yet to respond to the complaint.
