Target exercise machine recalled over fears it could cause 'serious injury'

An exercise machine from department store giant Target is being recalled over fears it could cause serious injury.

The retailer has revealed the Active Step Machine has not been manufactured in accordance with Target’s safety and quality standards and could break during use, resulting in injury.

Those who purchased a step machine are urged to return it to a Target Australia or Target Country store for a refund.

The machines affected were sold between April 23 2018 and January 15 2019.

Target urges people to stop using the product immediately.

The latest recall comes just weeks after Target revealed issues with a toddler’s swing set sold across Australia.

It found a design defect on the Young Ones My First Swing Set that could lead to it falling or tipping over.
