Panthers relive premiership glory 50 years on

It has been a long time between drinks for the South Adelaide Panthers, but legends of the 1964 Premiership team are again celebrating their flag win.

The fairytale story saw them go from cellar dwellers to premiership heroes in just one year, and it captivated the imagination of the South Australian public.

Now veteran Panthers are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their landmark win with the publication of a new book, The Kerley Years.

Former club doctor and Panthers tragic Randal Williams has written the book, chronicling the magic of playing coach Neil Kerley’s time at the club.
