Robbie Williams lands in Perth for tour

Robbie Williams has arrived in Perth on a private jet ahead of his first Australian tour in eight years, joking with the waiting media that he was glad to see he was still famous.

With his hair slicked back and wearing a leather jacket and jeans, the British pop star smiled and chatted briefly with the small media pack that greeted him at the airport on Tuesday morning.

Williams will perform the first show of his Australian tour at Perth Arena on Thursday night.

The 40-year-old will perform songs from his latest swing album, Swings Both Ways, as well as a few of the hits that made him famous.

Williams will perform two shows in Perth this week before travelling to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
