“Definitely gonna leave something weird in it for the next tenants when we move out,” she posted to a Facebook group called ‘Things Found In Walls - And Other Hidden Findings’.

The images show an opening in the corner cupboard of the kitchen, which leads to another room with what looks to be a window.

There appears to be no door to the extra space, which has no proper flooring and is cluttered with wiring and building materials.

“Perfect place to hide the bodies,” one person said.

Several suggested it had been used to house illegal drugs.

Another said: “Secret gaming room.”

Others dreamt about what they would use it for.

“I would turn it into a hide out to study or hide and eat my kids' fave snacks so I wouldn’t have to share with my kids,” one mother wrote.

“I would totally make that into a comfy little hiding spot. Husband getting on your nerves? Run to the hiding spot,” another said.

Some suggested they rent it out while others slammed it as “weird” and a “waste of space”.

“And a waste of good, natural light by the looks of it as well,” one woman posted.
