Teen injured after falling on Queensland mountain
An 18-year-old woman has sustained injuries after falling between six and seven metres while on Mount Tibrogargan on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
It is thought the woman was about 25 metres from the top of the summit when she fell, authorities said.
A spokesperson for the Queensland Ambulance Service says it is thought the teenager was coming down a steep rockface and slipped.
Another added the teenager is conscious and has suffered extensive facial injuries and a possible neck injury.
The woman is now being transported to hospital after being winched into the CareFlight rescue helicopter.
Initial reports suggested she was unconscious after falling 10 metres.
Crews were alerted to the incident at about 10.15am on Sunday.
