Ohio Driver Slams Into Police Cruiser

A driver who failed to move over for emergency vehicles slammed into a police car on Ohio’s Interstate 75 early Sunday morning, nearly injuring a law enforcement officer investigating a traffic incident.

According to Moraine Police, an officer was investigating a traffic incident on I-75 around 2:10 am on Sunday morning when a driver in the right lane “failed to move over or slow down and collided with the emergency vehicle.”

The involved driver and the officer were unharmed, police said.

“It’s crucial for drivers to adhere to the law and exercise caution when encountering emergency vehicles on the road,” Moraine Police wrote on Facebook. “‘Move over or slow down’ laws are implemented to ensure the safety of emergency personnel and drivers alike.” Credit: Moraine Police Department via Storyful
