Officeworks phone charger recalled over fears it could start fires

A charging pad sold at Officeworks has been recalled amid fears it could pose a fire risk.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued a recall on Monday for the Keji Wireless Charging Pad.

It’s for all models with barcode 9332902021076 and SKU or stock keeping number of COKW05BK. The SKU is found under the barcode.

The ACC said “during charging, the unit may overheat” and there is a “risk of fire, serious injury or death”.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the wireless charger and return it to Officeworks for a full refund,” the ACCC said.

It was available for sale between February 27 until December 14 last year.
