Newsagent creates second Lotto millionaire this year - but winner doesn't know it yet
A Sydney newsagency has created its second Lotto millionaire this year but the winner doesn’t know it yet.
The $1 million division one winning entry was drawn on Wednesday night, as part of the Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3789. However, the winner has not stepped forward and the jackpot remains unclaimed.
The ticket was purchased at Greenfield Newsagent in Sydney’s southwest. This is the second million-doller ticket that the newsagency has sold this year.
In April a Greenfield Park man who had been playing his late father’s numbers on behalf of his family took home a huge $8 million Powerball prize from an entry purchased at the outlet.
Gina Chen, manager of Greenfield Newsagency, told Yahoo7 that she was “very excited” and “surprised” about the second winning ticket.
“Congratulations, and I hope they can win again!” Ms Chen said.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Bronnie Spencer said that Wednesday’s division one winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card, so she was unable to notify the winner.
