New Woolworths collectables to hit stores – here's how to get them
Woolworths has announced a new collectables range ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, showcasing Australia's sporting heroes.
The new collectables will launch on Wednesday and this time around customers will be able to collect Woolworths Aussie Hero sticker packs, featuring leading Australian athletes.
The stickers come in packs of three and can be claimed when $20 is spent in-store or online.
The collection aims to celebrate Australia's sporting heroes competing in the Olympic and Paralympic games.
“As a proud and long-standing fresh food partner of the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams, we’re excited to offer customers a unique way to support their Aussie Heroes via our new (collectable)," Woolworths Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Hicks said in a statement.

“Fresh food plays a huge role in helping our world class athletes train and perform at their peak, and we hope the collection will inspire younger generations to live active and healthy lifestyles.
“As the Fresh Food People, we’re excited for families to learn more about our Aussie sporting heroes as they prepare to cheer many of them on while competing in Tokyo.”
New collectables to feature 68 athletes
The range will feature 68 past and present Olympians and Paralympians, including cyclist Anna Mears, sprinter Cathy Freeman, boxer Jeff Horn, surfer Stephanie Gilmore and wheelchair tennis star Dylan Allcott.
Each sticker will also include facts about each athlete, including their date of birth, accomplishments and even their favourite fruit or vegetable, which Woolworths hopes will inspire kids to explore healthier foods.
Customers will be able to claim their stickers at all Woolworths supermarkets, Metro stores and online with eligible purchases.
Collector's albums will also be available to purchase, while stocks lasts, so the stickers can be stored and organised.
The last collectables promotion Woolworths ran was the Discovery Garden promo, where customers were able to collect seedling kits while they shopped. The promotion wrapped up earlier this year.
Previously, Woolworths has offered customers the chance to collect Disney-themed Ooshies and a seven-piece stackable set of glass containers.
