Neighbour loses it over noisy toddler upstairs: 'Call the cops'

A woman says her neighbour got 'aggressive' when she realised the kids were home alone.

A concerned woman has released video footage of her “aggressive” neighbour kicking her front door after getting upset over the noise her kids were making.

The mother-of-three, including a toddler and teenager, says she was at work when the neighbour visited her US apartment on two occasions, both of which were picked up by the family’s ring camera.

In the clip posted to TikTok on Tuesday, the middle aged woman can be seen knocking on the front door before the children answer.

“Hey I just have a really nice question to ask you guys, I’m downstairs with my neighbour, we’re trying to visit, [and] all morning long all we’re hearing is...” she says politely before stamping her feet repetitively on the ground. “Can you keep it quiet, please, thank you,” she adds before storming off.

But by the time she returns later that day, she’s fuming and bangs on the door loudly. “If you thought that was funny, it wasn’t,” she yells through the door. “If you want us to call the cops and report you for noise because this goes on 24/7, that’s what we’ll do.”

This time however, the mother-of-three, known on TikTok as beccalaluvlii, is ready and replies back to the woman through the speaker on the ring camera.

“I have a toddler, you can call the police all you like,” she says, “because you guys bang on my ceilings all the time. So go ahead and call the police but we can report it right back.” With that the neighbour furiously kicks the family’s door five times.

“Go right ahead, go right ahead,” she yells before starting to walk away before coming back. “We have the right to live in a peaceful community and you're up here banging around 24/7.”

As she walks off for the final time, the mother can be heard telling her, “if you don’t like it, buy a house, go live in an apartment downstairs.”

'Karens in the wild'

The video has since gone viral, racking up 7.2 million views since Tuesday. In the post, the mum explains that she was at work while her children were at home. “This b***h decided to come back and get aggressive once she figured out it was just kids home,” she wrote. “Karens in the wild, y’all.”

Users on TikTok were quick to take the mother’s side. “Geeez I’m so mad for you!!” one person wrote. “Report her for damaging your door,” another said.

“It’s a toddler, how do you think the toddler is gonna be more quiet?” someone else commented. “This thing is common in apartments. You should know this when you apply.”

While others said they could “see both sides”. “You have to be considerate of each other and the people around you,” one person said. “I have a two story house and what people don’t understand is it literally sounds like a herd of elephants with my kids and husband simply walking,” added another.
