Meet Karl Stefanovic's future in-laws as he prepares to wed Jasmine Yarbrough

Karl Stefanovic is set to marry his fiancee Jasmine Yarbrough is a luxury Mexican resort on December 8, in a ceremony that will be attended by his future in-laws.

The Today host and Jasmine’s family appear to have become close ever since the pair started dating and it seems Karl’s in-laws-to-be have been more than happy to welcome him into the Brisbane family’s fold.

Packing executive Bob Yarbrough, Jasmine’s father, seems to have given his seal of approval as seen in sweet snaps shared on social media.

In fact, it was Bob who picked up the 44-year-old and drove him to Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast for his buck’s party.

Meanwhile Jasmine’s mum Cheryl – a teacher at Brisbane’s elite private girls school, St Margaret’s – already fondly calls Karl one of their “boys”.

Cheryl Yarbrough is a member of the city’s Anglican elite and is a close relative of the former archbishop of Brisbane and Governor-General Peter Hollingworth.

Meanwhile, Karl has also become chummy with his future sister-in-law Jade and brother-in-law Josh.

The Yarbrough siblings, who collectively call themselves “JY3”, all enjoyed private school educations.

Jasmine and her sister are believed to have attended Brisbane Girls Grammar School, to which Cheryl and Bob Yarbrough are benefactors.

All three siblings have enjoyed success as adults working in the fashion industry, with Jasmine co-founding luxury shoe brand, Mara&Mine, and Jade the interiors brand, Merci Maison.

Josh Yarbrough currently lives in Los Angeles where he works as a fashion and art designer.

Karl and Jasmine’s relationship

The couple first started dating at the end of 2016, three months after announcing his separation from ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.

At the time Karl admitted he wasn’t planning on jumping into a new relationship so soon after their split.

“I certainly did not expect to meet someone five months after I broke up with my wife,” he told Stellar. “That was not planned.

“I did not know her before. I met her on a boat in Sydney.”

Earlier this year, the star confirmed his engagement to Jasmine.

It was reported the presenter had popped the question with a $120,000 ring, but Karl shut down those rumours.

“The ring was made by Nic Cerrone and didn’t cost $120,000. Those figures are ridiculous,” he told TheFIX in February.

Karl’s ex-wife

Karl and Cassandra announced their separation in September 2016 after 21 years of marriage, officially divorcing a year later in 2017.

Back in 2011 Karl famously thanked Cassandra, who put her career on hold to look after the family, during his Gold Logie acceptance speech.
