- A man has been arrested outside Buckingham Palace for throwing what police believe was shotgun cartridges as officers carried out a controlled explosion in the area days before King Charles's coronation ceremony. Police said there have been no reports of any shots fired or any injuries to officers or members of the public.

The search for missing fisherman Kevin Darmody has ended in tragedy after human remains were discovered inside a crocodile found upstream from where he disappeared. Authorities caught and euthanized two crocodiles, measuring 4.1 meters and 2.8 meters in length, from where he went missing in the remote part of far North Queensland.

A bride has been killed and her husband critically injured minutes after leaving their perfect wedding, when the golf cart they were traveling in was allegedly hit by a drunk driver. Local police allege a drunk driver was traveling about 100 kilometers an hour in a 40 zone before smashing into the newlyweds.

Thousands of film and television writers headed to picket lines for a strike in 15 years. The Writers Guild of America said its leadership unanimously supported a strike after failing to reach an agreement for higher pay from studios such as Walt Disney and Netflix.
