M25 set for third full weekend closure
Part of the M25 in Surrey will be closed for a third time this year as work continues on a £317m improvement project.
National Highways said the motorway would shut between junctions 10 and 11 from 21:00 BST on 12 July to 06:00 on 15 July in both directions, with diversions put in place.
The closure will allow for the construction and installation of a bridge on the western gyratory of the roundabout at junction 10.
National Highways is warning drivers to expect delays and make alternative travel arrangements if possible.
Its senior project manager, Jonathan Wade, said the previous closures had "gone well with significant progress being made".
“We would urge all drivers to follow the official diversion route as this is the best chance of reaching your destination in good time.
"Please ignore your satnavs and follow our diversion route instead," he added.
The new bridge is being installed as part of ongoing work to make journeys safer and reduce pollution.
A further two full weekend closures along the M25 are planned for later this year.
A previous closure between junctions nine and 10 in May saw similar work being carried out on the eastern gyratory.
In March, a closure was put in place between junctions 10 and 11 to demolish a bridge and install a new gantry.
