# Lotto winner scores \$1.6 million by winning TWICE on the same ticket

A NSW man has taken home \$1.6 million after winning division one in last week's Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw not once, but twice.

The lucky Port Macquarie resident was shocked to find that he held a ticket that won division one two times in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4169, drawn Wednesday March 30.

The draw’s division one prize was \$800,000, but as the man had chosen two sets of identical numbers on his ticket, he increased his win to \$1.6 million.

Speaking on the phone with an official from The Lott on Wednesday, the NSW resident confessed he was relieved hadn’t lost his ticket before discovering his good fortune.

“This ticket has travelled with me to the gym, to work, around town. I just didn’t get the chance to check it,” he laughed.

“Turns out the wait is worth it sometimes!” he added.

## Winning man reveals how he won Lotto division one prize twice

The winning man revealed that he increased his division one win by deliberately duplicating games using his lucky numbers on the ticket.

“I put the same numbers on both lines on purpose. Usually, it just means I might win \$40 instead of \$20. I never thought I’d win \$800,000 and then see it double!” he confessed.

“I’ve been using the same numbers my entire life. This just means so much to me and my family,” he revealed.

When asked how he planned to spend his newfound fortune, the excited man revealed he planned to spend it on some big-ticket items, like a car and house.

“We’ll look at buying a new family car, a new home for us to live in and make sure our family is looked after,” he said.

The man’s winning entry was purchased at Clifton Newsagency, Shop 1, 11 Clifton Drive, Port Macquarie.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4169 were 20, 21, 13, 11, 16, 18, while the supplementary numbers were 28 and 30.

## Lotto win brings winning tally to 356 this year

Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4169 – two in both New South Wales and South Australia, and one from Tasmania.

The latest wins brings The Lott’s division one winning tally to 356 so far this financial year, including 115 won by NSW Lotteries customers.

In 2021, Monday & Wednesday Lotto created 97 millionaires across Australia, who collectively won \$102 million.

Meanwhile, there are more chances to win big with Tuesday’s Oz Lotto offering \$5 million and with \$20 million up for grabs in Thursday’s Powerball.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now \$8.69 million for draw 1567, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now \$10.4 million for draw 10551.
