Woman wins $250,000 Instant Scratch-Its prize TWICE: 'My jaw dropped'

A South Australian woman has confessed to feeling a sensation of déjà vu after winning $250,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket twice within a decade.

Speaking with an official from The Lott on Monday morning, the Christies Beach woman couldn’t believe she had won a $250,000 prize again.

“It’s very nice. It’s even nicer because this is my second big Instant Scratch-Its win,” she laughed.

“The last win was about the same amount, but it was almost a decade ago,” she added.

The stunned winner joked that maybe she would “make it a hat trick” and vie for another Instant Scratch-Its win to make it three.

“It felt like déjà vu! It’s such a shock. Most people never win big, but I’ve done it twice now. I feel very fortunate,” she confessed.

“I think my jaw dropped to the ground. I didn’t expect to win big again!”

Winning woman plans to pay it forward with Instant Scratch-Its prize

When she was asked how she planned to spend her windfall this time around, the winning woman said she would pay it forward.

“I’m planning on giving a large sum of this prize to charity and the rest I’ll use to help my family,” she explained.

“I did celebrate over the weekend with my family, though. We went to a nice restaurant and ordered everything we wanted. It was great!”

The team at the newsagency told The Lott they were thrilled for the winner and wished her the best with her big prize.
