London calling Reigan Derry

London is calling for *Perth *-raised X Factor sensation *Reigan Derry *. The talented songstress is gearing up to release her debut post-show single All of the Pieces and its accompanying EP on Friday.

But she won't be resting on her laurels afterwards, revealing to _Access All Areas _she is heading to the UK to work on her album with international producers once the new year ticks over.

"The EP features songs from the show and pays tribute to a show that gave me all these opportunities," Derry, right, explained.

"Now I can move forward and start crafting my sound for the new album. I have a trip to London booked and I am just going to do as much as I can to get the sound perfect.

"It is going to be winter over there so there won't be much for me to do, other than work."

Derry recalled the moment she first listened to All of the Pieces, which has an ethereal, Florence and the Machine-like quality to it. She said had never heard a song more perfect for her.

"At first I loved the sound - the melody and chorus is really unique," the 26-year-old explained.

"But it also has a really strong message to it, which I really connected with. This is a great starter to get people used to the kind of sound they can expect from me."

The last few weeks of this year are going to be hectic for Derry, who has a handful of gigs scheduled on the east coast, where she is based, to coincide with the launch of the EP. The former *Perth Modern *student will return to *WA * to spend Christmas at home with her family and will also stay on for New Year's Eve to get some rest and relaxation over the festive season.

When asked if she had any resolutions for the new year, Derry confessed she liked to set goals and had a few in mind for the coming year.

"I want to try and live in the moment a little bit more," she said. "I want to be present and mindful, whether that's through meditation or yoga or going on a long walk. I want to do something every single day that focuses on my mind."
