'I’ll pay anything': Dad distraught as 3-year-old girl kidnapped from party

Police have issued an Amber Alert seeking help from the public after a 3-year-old girl has been kidnapped from a birthday party in the US.

Kamille McKinney was playing with friends outside when she was abducted at around 8.30pm on Saturday night (local time), while she was at a birthday party in Alabama.

The child is described as “black female, 3 years of age, 3 feet tall weighing 60 pounds (27kgs) with brown eyes and black hair”.

Kamille, who is known as ‘Cupcake’ to her family was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt with Minnie Mouse leopard print design, leopard print shorts and yellow, white, and blue hair, according to the Amber Alert.

Kamille was abducted from the Tom Brown Housing Village and it was believed she was taken by a man and a woman travelling in a dark coloured SUV.

After the family desperately tried searching for her on the Saturday night, police had a man in custody on Sunday, but the girl remains missing. The man has been taken in for questioning but authorities have not publicly identified him.

Birmingham Deputy Chief Scott Praytor said there was no indication the kidnapping was related to an issue of child custody, as both of Kamille’s parents were at the scene, as well as her extended family, according to AL.com.

“I just want my daughter back. I’ll pay anything, I’ll put up anything,’’ Dominic McKinney, Kamille’s father said.

“Everybody knows Cupcake and I’ll do anything to bring that baby back home.”

Children who witnessed the abduction claim a black man and a white woman in a dark SUV picked up Kamille, with one witness alleging the man got out of his vehicle to put her in the car, according to AL.com.

Birmingham authorities are urging the public to come forward if they have any information and Deputy Chief Praytor pleaded with the people who abducted Kamille, urging them to “not take this any further”.

“You can take her to a fire station, a police station, a hospital, anywhere you can drop the child off safely so she can be returned to her family,” he said.
