Illegal pill-testing trial approved for Canberra music festival
In an Australian first, pill testing will be offered this weekend at a music festival in Canberra.
The trial has the backing of the ACT Government and has been welcomed by health experts who say ‘pill testing helps young people avoid the dangers of unknown and contaminated drugs”.
Under the trial, festival-goers will be able to have their illegal drugs tested for chemicals by independent group STA-SAFE.
