Grave concerns for missing woman who vanished three days ago

There are “grave concerns” for a woman missing in Sydney with the homicide squad now assisting police with their investigation.

Campsie woman Qi Yu, 28, last made communication with her family in China on Friday about 7.15pm.

“She has not been heard from since and police and family hold grave concerns for her welfare,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“Officers from Campsie Police Area Command launched an investigation to locate the woman and are appealing for the community’s help. Homicide Squad detectives are now assisting with the investigation.”

Ms Yu’s Toyota Corolla, with NSW registration plates DLK-13P, was found on Lindsay Street, Burwood on Saturday about 8.30pm.

“Anyone that saw her vehicle between the hours of 7pm Friday (8 June 2018) and 8.30pm Saturday (9 June 2018) is urged to come forward,” police said.

Photos of Ms Yu and the model of her car have been released in the hopes of finding her. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
