We’re already into December which means that the mad dash to retail stores and supermarkets for final Christmas shopping has begun.

With Aussies keen to get a head start on shopping for gifts, food, alcohol and essentials, most people will want to organise their trip to the store to avoid disappointment this holiday season.

To help shoppers get their hands on gifts and festive essentials before stores close their doors for Christmas Day, Yahoo News Australia has put together a state-by-state guide of the extended trading hours for some of the most Aussie popular retailers.

Retailers include Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Kmart, Westfield, Myer, David Jones, Target and the Sydney Fish Market.

Coles Christmas trading hours

Like other supermarkets across the country, Coles will shut on Christmas Day.

However some shoppers will have the opportunity to snap up their groceries until 10pm on Christmas Eve, but check the Coles website for differing trading hours.
