Cops launch hunt for TV star
The police are calling on the public to help them catch a former TV star who failed to appear at court on serious assault charges.
Orpheus Pledger, a former Home and Away star, was due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to confront allegations he assaulted a woman.
But the actor has allegedly failed to show up, with the cops now issuing a warrant for the 30-year-old man.
“Pledger is described as approximately 170cm tall with brown hair and tanned complexion,” the police said on Wednesday.
“He is known to frequent Northcote and surrounding areas.
“Investigators have released an image of Pledger in the hope someone may be able to provide information on his current whereabouts.”
Alongside Home and Away, Mr Pledger has also appeared on Neighbours and the reality show SAS Australia.
