The House of Mouse certainly knows how to deliver quality content – it’s been doing it for 70 years.

This December there’s a whole range of new shows and films coming onto Disney+ for people to enjoy. From Christmas comedies, to heart-pumping thrillers, take a look below to find your next obsession.

The Naughty Nine - December 1

The premise of this festive heist movie is a total hoot: when 10-year-old Andy doesn’t receive a present from Father Christmas on Christmas morning, he realises he’s been put on the naughty list. Rather than feeling ashamed about it, he hatches a plan. Along with eight other ‘naughty’ children, the newly formed crew decide to go to Santa’s North Pole village and fetch their presents themselves.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever – December 8

This sweet animated movie, which is based on Jeff Kinney's best-selling 2011 book, stars Wesley Kimmel as the voice of middle-schooler (aged from 11 to 13 years old) Greg Heffley. This time, clumsy Greg is at home for the holidays, and is, as usual, damaging things everywhere he goes. Over the holidays, he accidentally breaks a snow plough, his whole family is snowed in, and everyone starts to get cabin fever.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – December 15

The final chapter of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones films received mix reviews when it landed in June but the Standard seemed to sum up audiences' sentiment towards the rambunctious, hilarious, silly, comforting, film series: "It would be churlish to be too harsh on the final episode of this franchise," said our reviewr Jo-Ann Titmarsh. "There are some genuinely moving scenes as we see this fantastic character finally getting ready to hang up his hat for the last time. Thanks, Indy, it’s been quite a ride." A great option for a Twixmas watch.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians – December 20

This new eight-episode series, which is based on the best-selling fantasy novels by Rick Riordan, tells the story of 12-year-old demigod Percy Jackson, who is balancing getting a handle on his new powers with trying to iron out a major problem in Olympus – and the small matter of puberty.

Although two Percy Jackson films were released a decade ago, and each made over $200 million, many fans, and Riordan himself, felt they didn't quite capture the essence of the books. This new series, which has been made alongside the author, promises to be different: "I feel comfortable telling fans of the books who have been waiting — in some cases, decades — for this kind of faithful adaptation, that this is the one you’ve been waiting for," he said to EW. "We are involved and I think you’re gonna love it.”

BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star – December 20

This eight-part docuseries, which “dives beneath the surface of the 21st century pop icons” BTS, will track the rise and rise of the Korean boy band, which formed a decade ago. Through interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and clips of performances, the series will follow the seven members’ journeys from the very beginning of their career, looking at their stupefying global success, their solo projects and their reunion plans. BTS took an “extended period of rest” in June 2022 - so what comes next?

Harry Brown – December 27

In this gritty 2009 revenge-thriller, Michael Caine stars as widowed pensioner Harry Brown who is mystified by modern life. From his council estate window he witnesses gang activity and youth violence; he finds solace playing chess with his friend Len Attwell at their local pub. But when Len is murdered, and the police fail to catch the killers, Harry decides to take things into his own hands. And, as an ex-Royal Marine, he’s rather good at it.
