Coles recall ice creams over 'metal fragment' fears

Coles has recalled its own brand of ice cream after the supermarket discovered pieces of metal may be in the product.

The recall applies to Coles Mini Classic 360ml six-pack ice cream in vanilla stamped best for use before April 16 and April 17, 2020, and almond flavour marked best before April 18, 2020.

The products were sold in Coles supermarkets, online and in Coles Express in Western Australia, Queensland, NSW and the ACT.

“The recall is due to the potential presence of metal fragments,” Coles said in a statement on Friday.

“Customers should not eat these products.”

Customers who purchased any of the ice creams are advised to return them to their nearest Coles supermarket store for a full refund.
