Charity door knockers 'threatened to gang rape woman at her home'

A charity is investigating accusations door knockers threatened to gang rape a Perth woman after she turned them away from her home.

Mundijong Police say there had been reports about the conduct of “legitimate representatives” fundraising on behalf of Oxfam in the southern Perth suburb of Byford on Monday.

Oxfam said in a statement the door knockers were employees of Global Interactive, who had been contracted to fundraise for the charity.

It said the two fundraisers have denied any inappropriate behaviour, but Oxfam is taking the matter extremely seriously and two people had been stood down pending an inquiry.

“Global Interactive has removed all of their fundraisers from the Byford area, given community concerns about this matter,” Oxfam said.
