CCTV captures moment man steals car from petrol station with toddler in backseat
CCTV has captured the terrifying moment a man allegedly stole a car with a three-year-old inside.
A mother pulled up at a petrol station in Cobb County, Georgia, and began filling up her car while her child was inside.
The footage shows a car stopping at the service station next to the mother’s car, and a man gets out and jumps in the driver’s seat of the mother’s car, fleeing the scene with the three-year-old child in the back.
The horrified mother begins chasing her car as it drives off.
Fox 5 reports the car was later abandoned and the child was unharmed. A 17-year-old boy was arrested over the incident.
He has been charged with kidnapping, second-degree hijacking a motor vehicle, and felony theft by receiving.
