Candyman defends antics after wild weekend party
Candyman Travers Beynon has come out swinging against critics defending his antics after a bizarre fake ‘terror’ attack, complete with gunfire and rocket launchers leave many angered.
Bushland across the river from his notorious party mansion was also set alight after his over-the-top fireworks display went astray.
“We are just having fun with these parties,” he told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
“The idea for the production has been in my head for months but preparations really ramped up in the last few weeks.”
Actors were hired to create dramatic scenes at the reported $500, 000 party.

One actor, pretending to be a party-goer, tried to stop ‘terrorists’ and was shot with blanks before dramatically falling through a glass window to his theatrical death.
Later on in the evening the Candyman appeared on the top of his mansion with a rocket launcher yelling 'say hello to my little friend' before dramatically shooting a missile at the ‘terrorists’.
Once the smoke has cleared he had vanished however appeared five minutes later sliding down a flying fox to the cheers and screams of fellow party-goers.
The exotic themed party included everything from live crocodiles to a naked woman, an elephant, professional bondage queen, Harley Peach, who was paid to suspend naked midair for added aesthetic.
