The best Aldi specials this week

Aldi enjoys a perception of low price among Australian shoppers against its competitors Woolworths and Coles, helping it break what used to be a duopoly.

Thrifty customers queue up outside the German supermarket before the doors open to grab the best of the twice-weekly and limited-stock "Special Buys". It's no wonder a recent report found Australians had an "emotional connection" to Aldi that they don't for Coles and Woolworths.

Aldi Australia also has grocery deals called "Super Savers". The discounts aren't quite as deep as Woolworths and Coles' weekly half-price deals, but the Aldi items are coming off a lower base price.

Yahoo Finance has again run through the aisles to publish our pick of the Super Savers and Special Buys this week:

Aldi Special Buys (one-offs): Saturday September 21

Saturday's big attractions are television and outdoor toys. Children's books and sewing equipment also make an appearance:

As of September 19, the same Super Savers from the last fortnight continue on. Organic groceries dominate the range:
