Police were called to the scene in the very early hours of Sunday morning at Freemans Drive, Cooranbong, in Lake Macquarie NSW. Emergency services responded to reports of the crash at about 12.15am after a Subaru Impreza lost control and collided with the rear of a Hyundai Santa Fe which was parked on the side of the road and being used to house a mobile speed camera.

The passenger, 18, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene, NSW Police said in a statement on Sunday afternoon.
