Killer Whale Swims Up Close to Pier in Orkney, Scotland

A killer whale graced the shore in Orkney, Scotland, swimming up to locals standing along a pier, video posted on Tuesday, April 25, shows.

Footage captured by Pier Master Graham Campbell shows the orca emerge from the water and expel air from its blowhole.

Campbell told the Daily Record he was working at Holm Pier at the village of St Mary’s on the mainland of Orkney when he spotted the orca.

“It was one of these moments you just wait for, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get them just right below you and get some footage of them. It was incredible,” Campbell said.
