Children's bean bag armchair recalled over suffocation fears

Parents have been warned of a recall on a popular children's beanbag amid suffocation fears.

A recall notice has been issued for the BBBYO kid’s linen armchair beanbag, which has been sold for almost three years by discount online retailer Ozsale.

The safety authority has warned the product does not have the correct warning label attached.

"Incorrect labelling may result in the misuse of the product, increasing the risk of a suffocation hazard for infants and young children," the ACCC said in a statement on Thursday.

The affected product has been sold online from December 1, 2016, to May 28, 2019.

BBBYO will contact customers directly by email to arrange postage of new labels and instructions to affix over the old label.

For further information, customers should contact BBBYO on bbwalkonwater@gmail.com or the website bbbyo.com.au.
