Australia Day meal ruined when man 'finds mouse in his burger' from WA pub

WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT: A Perth man out celebrating Australia Day was left horrified after he allegedly found a dead mouse inside his burger.

Bruce Blackburn had ordered sliders and chips from Inglewood's Civic Hotel during a lunch with friends on Friday but was left stunned when he spotted the rodent following three bites into his patty.

His partner, Peta Blackburn, took to Facebook to share images of the mouse lying dead beside his meal.

"Having AUSTRALIA DAY LUNCH and this is what BRUCE got in his Burger," she wrote.

"Health dept issue... he bit into a Full Mouse... F****** Yuk."

Blackburn claims he failed to receive an apology from the hotel but did receive a refund.

He has said he will now be exploring further avenues with the Western Australia Department of Health.

The images have since been shared over 500 times with many Facebook users revealing their shock at the incident.

However some users disputed the authenticity of Blackburn's claims.

When contacted by Yahoo7, The Civic Hotel refused to comment.
