Fighters challenge laughing coward punch attacker to bout in cage
Amateur and professional fighters have challenged a coward punch attacker to a bout in the ring - for charity.
The unusual offer comes after the teenager laughed and took selfies when he walked from court with a 12-month probation for a one-punch hit that left a young man in hospital and lucky to be alive.
Last week Caleb Maraku, who threw the punch, faced a Gold Coast magistrate.
But it's what happened when the 19-year-old walked from court that has triggered a wave of outrage.
Paul Stanley is the father of one-punch victim Matthew Stanley, who died in a one-punch attack in 2006.
He has called Maraku's smirking response a "disgrace" - a sentiment echoed across social media.
Now, a group of fighters are challenging Maraku to a bout.

"It's time to prove how tough you actually are," professional fighter Kerry Foley said.
"Fight me in the cage. If you win, I'll give you 10 grand, if not the money will go to charity."
But Paul Stanley doesn't believe it's the answer to quelling violence on our streets.
"We've got to make these young people understand that the end result can be something that will ruin lives, and lots of lives forever," he said.
