'I'm against it': Mum sacks photographer after finding out she is gay

A photographer claims she was fired from a job by a pregnant mother for being gay.

Faith Grace, from Alabama, shared text messages from a woman named McKenna on Twitter.

In the text messages, the woman says she’s “reaching out” to Faith about maternity photos, but has a question first.

“I went through your personal Instagram account to get your photography business account and on your personal pad I saw that you had a pride flag [sic],” the text from McKenna reads.

“Are you gay or do you have family that’s gay?’

Undeterred by the question, Faith texts back and says nobody in her family is gay.

“But I am – that’s why I have it on my account.”

McKenna responds saying, “don’t worry about the photos then”.

“I don’t want someone who’s gay to take my pictures. It’s just not right,” the text reads.

“I’m against it and the last thing I need is to allow my five-year-old child to think that being gay is OK/right because I don’t want them to be influence by people like you.”

The woman adds that she’s sorry Ms Grace thinks her “lifestyle is OK and acceptable”.

“Take care, Faith,” she writes.
