'Get ready for a mummy punch on': The next Aldi 'special buy' sure to cause mayhem

First it was a family brawl over discounted outdoor furniture in Melbourne, and then Sydney shoppers went mad for the cheap armchair.

Now Aldi customers are getting ready to rumble other another red-hot product to be rolled out with discount supermarket's Special Buys event later this month.

The latest red-hot item is a bright-yellow kid's ride-one tractor.

Excitement over the electric excavator selling for $199 is being felt across the mummy-blog world as social media accounts like @TheKidzCurator and @anotherbargainhuntingmum virtually hyperventilate over the product.

One Instagram user noted, "there will be an all-in-brawl for these!"

Another woman suggested she would send her partner to the store so "he can fight the crazy mums".

"Get ready for a mummy ALDI punch on for this one," wrote one person on Instagram.

A $99 fabric armchair caused chaos at Aldi's Chatswood store in Sydney this week, with shoppers lining up to get their hands on a piece from the discount giant's new line of cheap decor and homewares.

The chairs sold out in a record 30 seconds, with people queuing up well before the store was due to open.

Earlier this month a shopper filmed two families brawling over an outdoor furniture sale at the Plenty Valley Aldi store in Melbourne.

Shoppers were queuing for a $350 wicker lounge setting when doors opened and customers rushed in as pushing and shoving ensued.

The brawl between two duelling bargain-hunting families was only stopped when the store manager stepped in and threatened to throw both parties out.

Whether things get quite that rowdy with eager kids in tow remains to be seen when the kid's tractor - which has a working forklift - goes on sale on September 23.
