WATCH: Unexpected exchange between driver and motorbike rider after near collision

The dramatic moment a motorcycle rider almost came off his bike was caught on camera and has since gone viral but that's not what everyone is talking about.

It seems chivalry isn't quite dead yet after the exchange between the motorcycle rider and the driver following the near miss proved it.

The clip was posted by the motorcycle rider to prove you don't need to get angry when a situation like this one happens.

Filmed in Newcastle in England, the motorbike rider is forced to slam on his breaks as a car emerges from a junction unexpectedly but they miss colliding.

The bike rider then turns around and heads back to the scene.

Instead of arguing with the driver, he asks if the woman is OK.

She appears from her driveway, just opposite from the near miss, and said: “I’m sorry pet. Eh, I’m so sorry," before leaning in for a hug which is warmly reciprocated.

The motorcyclist reassures her by saying: “Don’t worry about it. It’s fine.”

The driver then hails the motorcyclist’s reactions, saying: “Your reflexes were good.

“I looked and then I checked the other way and there was nobody there and then I pulled over.”

He replies: “That’s the way it goes. I’m not here to argue.”

The poster of the video added a comment explaining you don't need to get angry in those situations.

"I think people need to stop playing the blame game," he wrote.

"The woman was shaken up, same as I was.

"No one was hurt. Yeah, I could have been but I'm fine."
