AC/DC legend Angus Young tricks Guns ‘n’ Roses with practical joke at Sydney Airport

Legendary US rockers Guns ‘n’ Roses have fallen victim to some Aussie humour while on tour here courtesy of AC/DC guitarist Angus Young.

Guns ‘n’ Roses’ bassist Duff McKagan took to Twitter to explain how Young managed to fool them into waiting on a plane at Sydney on Wednesday night.

Young might be 61-years old now, but still managed to channel his teenage prankster by donning an orange vest as a fake member of “airport security” as Guns ‘n’ Roses were kept waiting on a plane.

McKagan explained the wind-up on Twitter:

The prank has fuelled rumours that Young will join the Gunners on stage in Sydney on Friday or Saturday night.

In March last year, Guns ‘n’ Roses’ front man Axl Rose teamed up with AC/DC to provide vocals after long-time singer Brian Johnson was forced to abruptly quit touring with the group or risk "total hearing loss.”

Aussie fans have waited 24 years to see the original line-up of Guns ‘n’ Roses reunite for a tour.

After two nights in Sydney, Guns ‘n’ Roses will play Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth next week, having already ticked off Brisbane earlier this week.
