Man dead inside car while he gets four days worth of parking tickets

A woman has found a dead body inside an SUV with four days worth of parking tickets plastered on the front windshield.

Carolyn White was shocked to find Jacob Morpeau's body in an Isuzu Axiom parked outside a courthouse in Broward County, Florida, Sun Sentinel reported.

His body was sitting in the driver's seat and laying face down in the centre of the car with a credit card still clutched in his hand.

Five parking tickets totalling AU$250 were issued to Morpeau’s parked car from November 12 through November 15.

Morpeau, the 62-year-old deceased Miami resident, was last seen by his friends at 8pm four days earlier.

The medical examiner's office reported he had been sick with hypertensive cardiovascular disease and died of natural causes.

The exact day and time of his passing still remains unclear.

Ms White told the newspaper that she was being nosy and wanted to look inside of the car because she had never been given a parking ticket.

"You could see him on the passenger's side. That's how I seen (sic) him, from the sidewalk,” she said.

"He was underneath the steering wheel, his head was in the middle of the seat, between the two seats.

"I can understand why the meter person probably didn't see him from the driver's side."

An assistant for the city told the newspaper that the parking fines had been dismissed “due to extenuating circumstances".
