Terrifying moment great white chews through divers' air supply

This is the terrifying moment a great white shark chewed through four divers’ air supply before getting stuck inside a shark cage.

The astonishing footage showed the 15ft shark charge towards the divers in the shark cage off the coast of Mexico.

The huge predator smashed through the case and trapped itself on top of the divers.

As it thrashed around, the divers feared the worst.

Katie Yonker, who was inside the cage, told The Sun: “The first minute or so felt like a horrific earthquake underwater, and I kept thinking, 'we just need to wait this out'.

"But in the back of my head I feared the cage would break apart and this would be the end for me."

Just last week, a terrifying video of a shark breaking into a cage off the coast of Mexico emerged.

Craig Capeheart, the man behind last week's video claimed this near-miss happened in the same place.

Mr Capeheart told The Daily Mail: “Back in August I was diving with great white sharks in the Pacific Ocean at Guadalupe Island off the coast of Mexico when one got into the cage, struggled, then escaped!

“Neither those of us in the cage nor the shark were injured. It was the most frightening thing that has ever happened to me!

“This event happened in the same cage, same boat, same location as the video of a great white shark getting into a cage then escaping out the top.”
