'Typical impatient 4wd driver': Truckie takes out Jeep on busy Sydney road

A reckless truck driver has taken off the side mirror of a jeep in a brazen attempt to merge lanes on a grid locked Sydney road.

Filmed by a helmet camera on a nearby motorcyclist, the driver of the Jeep can be seen aggressively honking at the truck to stop, to little avail.

The incident was posted on the Dashcam Owners Australia Facebook page and has been viewed more than 100,000 times, however not everyone agreed who was to blame.

“The truck driver is completely in the wrong here. You cannot merge unless you can SEE it is clear,” Kimberly Tiatco said

“Trucks fault entirely. Those that disagree need to hand in their drivers licenses,” Julian Carter said

“Typical, impatient, 4wd driver. Trucks have little enough room on Sydney's road lanes as it is often with only a foot or two each side. Why try to push through when you're in the position the 4wd was.” Charlie Straumietis said.

The truck continued to merge into the far left lane on Paramatta Road in Concord, swiping the jeep before speeding off.

The damaged SUV pursued the truck down the crowded street. Clearly aggravated, the Jeep driver then overtook the truck in an attempt to pull him over.
