Police hunt men involved in armed robberies

Police are hunting for two men who went on a crime spree on Wednesday night, committing three armed robberies at a western Sydney shopping complex.

The men entered three businesses on Welwyn Road in Hebersham about 7pm where they threatened staff and demanded money.

Authorities believe the men were carrying a shortened rifle.

They fled the scene with cash from one of the stores and Mt Druitt police officers were called shortly after.

The men are described as being of large build, possibly of Pacific Island or Maori appearance, and were wearing track pants and hooded jumpers.

No-one was injured during the incident.
