Police hunt sexual offender who allegedly assaulted man he met on dating app

Police are on the hunt for a sexual offender who allegedly assaulted a man he met on an online dating app.

The assault happened on Monday September 21 at the Sydney suburb of Woollahra.

A police spokesman said about 9.30am the 22-year-old man was sexually assaulted in his home on Edgecliff Rd after he met up with another man on a dating app.

A police complaint was made the following day, however the offender was yet to be found.

Following investigations, detectives have released an image of a man they wish to speak to who might be able to assist them.

Police have described the man as being of Caucasian appearance with a thin build, 70 to 75kg, approximately 27 to 29 years-old with hazel eyes and freckles on his cheeks.

He also had a long, pointy nose, thin lips and a slight stomach bulge.

The offender was last seen wearing a grey-coloured long-sleeve collared shirt, dark-coloured acid washed jeans, and black-coloured ‘Vans’shoes.

He also wore a green and brown leather-style bracelet joined together with a metal clip and a black backpack similar to a camera bag.
