Pastor who married pregnant teen with wife's approval is angry gay marriage is legal

A former mafia enforcer turned christian pastor who impregnated and married a teenage girl with the approval of his wife thinks it's wrong his marriage is not recognised by the state, but homosexual marriages are.

Thom Miller, 60, married his 19-year-old girlfriend Reba Kerfootruba with the full support of his 44-year-old wife Belinda Miller who all live together in a small home in Ohio.

Each wife spends three nights with Miller on rotation in their Mansfield house. They are currently building a bigger home.

The pastor from Mansfield in Ohio - who was reportedly in prison for seven years and released in 1991 after stabbing a man in a bar fight - met his first wife eight years ago and they discussed polygamy but didn't try it until finally agreeing on Reba Kerfootruba.

“I don’t preach about polygamy but I feel it is a very Christian lifestyle,” Thom told Barcroft TV.

“I have no problem with homosexuals but I think it’s wrong that their marriage is now recognised by the state, but my second marriage is not."

Reverend Miller says he is the only person in their relationship allowed to have more than one partner and both wives claim to be happy.

Miller's wife Belinda made the suggestion to bring another woman into the family and claims her husband's adultery benefits both the of them.

“I wanted to have more of a family, " she told Barcroft TV.

“Having another lady in the house not only makes our family whole, but individually it’s a beautiful thing because it’s like having a sister around.”

“Thom is the love of my life and Reba is the blessing of my life, so it all works.”

The reverend, who has seven children from previous marriages, said there can be flares of jealousy but they make it work.

"Sexually I have no preference and look forward to my time alone with both wives," he said.

Miller said that he reunited with the family friend when she was volunteering at a soup kitchen after a hug that made Miller really "appreciate" her.

"I've known Reba for a long time, then she moved away and I hadn't seen her for years," he said.

"I caught something because she hugged me and I wanted to keep hugging her and I realised, wow, I'm really appreciating this woman."

Thom owns his own Church in Mansfield where he married Reba and had a replica ceremony to Belinda.

The 19-year-old teen wife said that her family didn't approve at the start but they eventually came around.

"They didn’t think it was proper for me to be with a man that was already married," she said.

But they started to come around and now they’re happy as they know I am happy."

She said sharing her new husband can be upsetting at times but she copes by going out with friends.

"But I try not to get jealous and when it's not my time with Thom, I just try to occupy myself by going out friends," she said.

"The baby will have two mums which I'm okay with."

The sister wives and pastor plan to raise Reba and Thom’s future biological child together as a family.

Thom doesn’t keep his alternative lifestyle hidden from his church and admitted he doesn’t have their full support.

"I'm going to try and fight... this is America and my wives and I have the right to live any way we please, providing we're not hurting anybody.”
