Man films emotional tribute to dog

Get ready for your Friday night cry.

Ben Moon, a US photographer, has made a heartwarming tribute to his four-legged best mate, who passed away.

Denali, Moon’s faithful dog, stuck by his owner’s battle with cancer in 2004. Denali stayed with Moon in his hospital bed.

"Denali never left my side during that intense year, and I was so grateful for his companionship," Moon wrote in a Twitter post.

Moon rescued Denali from a shelter when the pitbull-husky mix was just eight weeks old. Denali died in early January 2014 at 14-years of age.

Moon told Daily News: "I asked Denali to please stick around for a month. He did that almost to the hour.” “I’ve lost friends, and it’s been really hard, but when I lost Denali, I cried for a month and a half straight.”

“He didn’t want to go anywhere and just looked at me. I knew it was time,” Moon recalled. “He just laid on my chest all night. I just said, ‘thank you.’ It was the saddest, hardest thing I’ve ever done,” he added.
