Jihadi John says 'sorry' to family

The man responsible for a series of barbaric beheadings, which have been broadcast round the world, has reportedly said sorry to his family after his true identity was revealed.

Mohammed Emwazi, dubbed Jihadi John, was unveiled as the IS butcher last month and now his family in London have been put under police surveillance.

The Sunday Times reports Emwazi conveyed his message from Syria saying he was sorry for the ‘problems and trouble the revelation of his identity has caused’ his parents and siblings, according to an informed source.

But the 26-year-old did not express any remorse for the beheadings of western hostages including journalists and aid workers.

His father Jasem Emwazi, 51, has reportedly fled to Kuwait in the wake of the revelation.

Emwazi reportedly escaped from Britain in 2013 by hiding in a freight lorry before travelling to Turkey and onto Syria where he has become notorious in propaganda video released by IS.
